J is for JUST Can't Wait for those Summer Blockbusters!

If you’re like me, you JUST love a good summer movie. Fourth of July weekend wouldn’t be the same without an epic movie on the agenda. I’m looking forward to quiet a few this season.

May 3rd Iron Man 3. I know this isn’t technically summer, but I can’t wait for this movie! Btw, I LOVE Robert Downey Jr.!

May 17th Star Trek: Into Darkness. If this wasn’t opening the day I returned from vacation, I’d be standing in line. As it stands, I’ll be there on Saturday May 18th totally giddy! Did I mention I love J.J. Abrams?

May24th Fast and Furious 6/ The Hangover: Part III. I don’t know…I’ve entered these because they’ll probably draw big box office numbers. But do you still care? Will you see either of these?

June 14th Man of Steel. Okay, so most of you don’t know. I’m not sure Tamara even knows. I’m totally in love with Superman! I’ve seen all the movies—first one was my favorite. I watched Lois & Clark and I’m still watching the reruns of Smallville every morning while I get dressed for work. Do I think they need another Superman movie? No. But will I be there on opening night? Hell yeah! I can’t help myself. I need a support group. I'm having palpitations just looking at the photo!

July 26th Wolverine. Another installment in the X-Men series. Gotta see it. Can’t help myself.

August 23rd Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. Did you read the books? Will you go see this?

Vote for your  "Just Can't Wait to see" summer blockbuster! Have you noticed all but two of these films are sequels? Of the two remaining, one is an adaptation of a novel, and the other is a remake of a movie, which was an adaptation of a comic. Is there any originality left in Hollywood, or is that a question best left for the letter O?

  2. We have a drive-in by our house, so we (the kids and I) have penned these in on our calendar. Esp. Iron Man.

  9. Yikes, I want to see almost all of those... Not sure about that Mortal Instruments, though. Never read the book, or heard of them. Just happened across the trailer earlier this week.

As for what I will likely see in the theater? Iron Man 3/Star Trek: Into Darkness

The rest I will wait for Redbox/NF >.< Not all of the pictures loaded for me, unsure if others had that issue. Maybe my browser is acting wonky on me.

  11. I'm so bad about going to see movies...or NOT going would be more accurate! I did make the effort to see Ted last year though and that was great.

  12. Jeremy: C’mon! Tell me why!

Melanie: Cool! I have a drive-in near enough to me. Maybe I’ll go see one of these movies there too.

Laura: Good choices. I’m in for those too.

Andrew: I can’t wait for it either. I hope your daughter has a happy birthday.

Cherie: Cool. I’m glad to see great minds think alike!

Regina: Yeah, I want to see that too. Let’s hope it’s as good as the book! Or at the very least, a good movie. Sometimes one can occur without the other.

Ella: Star Trek b-day! Awesome! I hope you have a great time.

Sherry: Yes! Totally agree. I love both of those men staring in the movies. Lol.

Mark: Yes, that is the hope! I think Iron Man and Star Trek will deliver well. Man of Steel may be good too, but I’m not holding out much hope for Fast and Furious6 or The Hangover III.

Alex: Yeah, I can’t decide between Iron Man or Star Trek, but fortunately, I don’t have to.

Jak: I haven’t seen the Mortal Instruments trailer yet, but I’m not sure they can pull that off though.

J M: I’m with you! Can’t wait for the Trek!!!

JoJo: You gotta go see one of these at least. I’ve given you the dates. Mark it on your calendar. :-) 

  14. Yes to all, but I don't know what the last one is. Looking forward to Star Trek the most. Fast and Furious the least, those have been overdone IMO.
